Are you an experienced Commercial Workshop ( Director ) looking for an exciting new challenge? HCL Fleet Services is a brand new commercial HGV workshop based in Croydon, with state-of-the-art equipment and the only HGV brake tester available to the public in the area. We are seeking a Commercial Workshop Director to join our team and help us achieve our goals.
Reporting to the Managing Director, the Commercial Workshop Director will be responsible for creating an environment where teams and individuals are self-motivated and enthused by the journey and overall strategy. You will ensure that all work is carried out safely, legally, and in compliance with all relevant legislation, including FORS. You will be responsible for achieving monthly productivity targets, maintaining a high standard of customer service, and building strong local customer relationships. In addition, you will be responsible for all stock control and maintenance within the workshop, as well as managing employees.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong knowledge of fleet maintenance/workshop management, as well as sound knowledge of H&S fundamentals in workshops and transport compliance legislation. You should have excellent customer relationship management skills and the ability to use technology to drive performance. You should also be able to motivate and coach a team of technicians to deliver against productivity targets while maintaining a high standard of performance under pressure.
