Operating out of a large, 15,000 ft² facility, we cater to a broad spectrum of mechanical needs, ranging from 3.5-ton vans to 44-ton HGVs, including road sweepers and vacuum tankers. Our state-of-the-art workshop is equipped with advanced brake testing equipment and a host of other high-tech tools, enabling us to provide comprehensive services across numerous vehicle applications.

Role Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Workshop Manager to lead our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing large-scale workshop operations and a strong background in mechanical repairs of heavy goods vehicles (HGV).

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operations in our 15,000 ft² workshop facility.
• Manage and lead a team of skilled technicians, ensuring high standards of workmanship.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
• Coordinate with various departments to optimize workflow and efficiency.
• Develop and implement strategies for continual process improvement.
• Manage inventory of parts and supplies, ensuring availability for all types of vehicles serviced.
• Conduct regular training sessions for staff to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

• NVQ Level 3 or higher in Mechanical Repairs, specifically for Heavy Goods Vehicles.
• At least 5 years of experience in a managerial role within a vehicle repair facility.
• Demonstrable experience in managing a large, diverse team of technicians.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of the latest industry technology and techniques.
