Position Overview:
Hydro Cleansing is currently looking for a dynamic and experienced Head of Accounts to lead our finance team. As the Head of Accounts, you will play a crucial role in overseeing all financial aspects of our operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in managing accounts payable, receivable, and financial reporting.

Job Summary:
As the Head of Accounts at Hydro Cleansing, you will be responsible for managing the overall financial activities of the company. You will lead a team of accounting professionals in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and implementing best practices in financial management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
  • Prepare financial statements and reports for management review.
  • Monitor cash flow and budgeting activities.
  • Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits.
  • Implement and maintain accounting software systems such as QuickBooks, Xero, and Sage.
  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare monthly management and financial accounts, including profit & loss, balance sheets, cash flow, and statutory accounting.
  • Manage budgeting and forecasting processes, introducing robust analysis tools.
  • Collaborate with the business development team to maximize revenue opportunities.
  • Define and deliver the company’s long-term financial objectives.
  • Work with the management team to ensure business and financial objectives are met.
  • Identify and develop areas for improvement in resource use across finance and commercial management.
  • Oversee daily operations of the finance department, including payroll, invoicing, VAT, and meeting critical deadlines.
  • Manage tax preparation, auditing, banking, investments, intercompany transactions, and financial year-end activities.
  • Track financial status and performance to identify areas for potential improvement or risk.
  • Communicate with external payroll providers, HMRC, and banks.
  • Manage and develop a diverse team of six in different accounting positions.
  • Handle invoice discounting and ensure effective cash flow management.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Professional certification such as CPA, CMA, ACA, ACCA, or CIMA is preferred.
  • Highly qualified with proven experience in a senior accounting or finance role.
  • In-depth knowledge of different accounting softwares especially Xero.
  • Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines consistently.
  • Familiarity with invoice discounting practices.

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8am-5pm
