Hydro Cleansing Ltd is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team in Surrey.

Position Summary: The Operations Manager will provide comprehensive administrative support and manage various operational activities across departments. This role demands exceptional organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, effective multitasking, and strong leadership abilities. The Operations Manager will collaborate with team members at all levels to ensure seamless operations and successful outcomes, reporting directly to the Operations Director and Managing Director.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

Operations Management:

  • Develop and implement standardized procedures and workflows to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
  • Oversee the personal development and overall management of the operations team, ensuring smooth departmental functioning.
  • Verify all paperwork from the Call Centre team, ensuring the correct allocation of staff and equipment to jobs.
  • Cross-check engineers' paperwork and timesheets submitted daily.
  • Regularly track and evaluate performance against established KPIs, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration across teams to ensure alignment and successful outcomes.
  • Collaborate with various departments to identify operational needs and opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure timely submission of payroll for both weekly and monthly runs.
  • Maintain staff attendance, timekeeping, and holiday requests for the Operations department.
  • Assist with ad hoc requests from the Operations Director and Managing Director.

People Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the operations team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, providing feedback and identifying training needs.
  • Manage team schedules, ensuring adequate coverage and optimal utilization of resources.

Fleet Management:

  • Oversee the management and maintenance of the company’s fleet, ensuring vehicles are in good working condition and meet safety standards.
  • Coordinate with the logistics team to optimize fleet usage and efficiency.
  • Implement and monitor fleet management software to track vehicle performance and maintenance schedules.

Process Management:

  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve operational processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Monitor and analyze process performance, making data-driven recommendations for improvements.
  • Ensure all processes are documented and team members are adequately trained.

Required Skills:

  • 2+ years of operations and management experience.
  • Experience in the drainage industry is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Comfortable working under pressure and maintaining high standards.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills; proficient in writing reports, memos, and emails.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel) and strong computer literacy.

Pay: From £50,000.00 per year
